FIATA, in French "Fédération Internationale
des Associations de Transitaires et Assimilés",
in English "International Federation of Freight
Forwarders Associations", in German "Internationale
Föderation der Spediteurorganisationen", was founded
in Vienna/Austria on May 31, 1926.
FIATA, a non-governmental organisation,
represents today an industry covering approximately
40,000 forwarding and logistics firms, also known as
the "Architects of Transport", employing around 8 - 10
million people in 150 countries.

IATA (International Air Transport Association)
was founded in Havana, Cuba, in April 1945.
It is the prime vehicle for inter-airline
cooperation in promoting safe, reliable, secure
and economical air services - for the benefit
of the world's consumers. The international scheduled
air transport industry is now more than 100 times larger
than it was in 1945. Few industries can match the dynamism
of that growth, which would have been much less spectacular
without the standards, practices and procedures developed within IATA.

EIFFA

EIFFA, The Egyptian International Freight Forwarding Association is the official organization dedicated to enhancing, supporting and leading this field to a successful and prosperous future. EIFFA was established in 1990 as a division of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and hosts over 246 members from all over the country. EIFFA is the only and official representative of FIATA in Egypt. FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association) is the largest non-governmental organization based in Zurich, Switzerland, representing the freight forwarding industry by many other governmental organizations and authorities as well as private international organizations in the field of transport.
